Virtual Experience
ACSOS 2022 will be hosted using Gather as the central platform, which provides a great sense of spatiality for virtual events, enabling social interaction closer to an on-site meeting.
Gather only requires a desktop/laptop with a microphone and (optionally, but recommended) a camera, along with a web browser (Chrome or Firefox are recommended). We recommend using headphones to help prevent feedback. No dedicated software needs to be installed. To log in to Gather, use your e-mail address you have used while registering for ACSOS 2022.
Furthermore, there is an accompanying ACSOS 2022 Slack with channels for each session, help, and much more available to persist questions and discussions.
As a registered attendee, you will receive an email with further details and instructions on accessing the ACSOS 2022 virtual conference space and Slack.
Please find below a short tutorial from last year’s ACSOS on how to use the Gather space. Note that the link to the ACSOS 2022 Gather space will be included in the welcome email message to the attendees.
